Specialty
Out of many attractions, the major attraction is the central space with 3 unique transport mechanisms - a coach, a palanquin (sedan chair) and a pousse-pousse (an earlier version of the rickshaw). Moving ahead, another major attraction is the bronze gallery which displays the images of gods and goddesses together with a wide collection of temple lamps used across different dynasties down the centuries.
The museum also has a Geology room, a shell and fossil room and a collection of handicrafts, coins, church relics, and French furniture. The best part is that the museum has separate sections for fossils and shells. Glass painting, contemporary and colonial prints are put into an exhibition in this museum. Burial urns, terracotta figures, crockery, guns, swords, paintings, mirrors and several other things dating back to different periods are preserved here.
